This is another poem my english teacher assigned.
I am Jimmy Cross
I am a harsh cord of love
I wonder when I will see your star eyes again
I hear the bells of heaven ringing in your voice
I see the cool blue beach we use to go to
I want this war to end so I can see you
I am a harsh cord of love
I pretend to be a leader
I feel my heart beating a drum of love
I touch the small peble of memories you gave me
I worry that I might see the face of death before I see you
I cry if I think of you with another man
I am a harsh cord of love
I understand from you "dear John" letters that we are just friends
I say that you are just hiding your true feelings
I dream of our silhouettes walking together on the beach
I try to hold on to the rope of life
I hope you are still a pure virgin
I am a harsh cord of love

I am poem
This is an assignment my english teacher had given me.
I am an empty apartment
I wonder how much longer the support beams will hold me up
I hear the echo of mice squeaks
I see the crumbling white wall with broken picture frames
I want these beams restored
I am an empty apartment
I pretend to be full of the music of life
I feel abandoned and frozen
I touch a wide crack on the ceiling
I worry I will be knocked down by the bully bulldozer
I cry because I will be torn down soon
I am an empty apartment
I understand people come and go
I say I won't catch another breath of life
I dream of sheltering the ones who need help
I try to hang on to the rope of life
I hope I will never loosen my grip
I am an empty apartment
I am an empty apartment
I wonder how much longer the support beams will hold me up
I hear the echo of mice squeaks
I see the crumbling white wall with broken picture frames
I want these beams restored
I am an empty apartment
I pretend to be full of the music of life

I try to hang on to the rope of life
I hope I will never loosen my grip
I am an empty apartment

This is another assinment my english teacher gave me, interview an immigrant. The man I interviewed was named Lupe. The interview is as follows
Me: So, who did you come to America with?
Lupe: I took my wife and my son. He was only a baby at the time.
Me: Why did you come to America?
Lupe: Well, it's a long story. You see, my mom was sick so my dad came to get a job and send her money. After a few months, he stoped sending money. So I set off to find him and get a job myself.
Me: What hardships did you experienced?
Lupe: Well, when we entered the second dessert, we were cased by coyotes. One bit my leg. We threw our food and they left with it.
Me:What else do you remember before you got here?
Lupe: Well, when we were leaving Mexico city, a farmer stoped us on the road. He was driving by on his truck. He gave us food and gave me a sage that healed my leg.
Me: Ok, last question. Did you find your dad?
Lupe: I did. Do you want to know why he stoped sending money to my mom? Well, it is because he had another family over here.
Me: So, was it worth comeing over?
Lupe: Yes it was. I have a good job, a loving family, and my mom is feeling better.
This is a video I made based on this interview
